Michael Stag
Michael G. Stag is a managing member at Stag Liuzza, a plaintiff-oriented environmental and complex litigation firm. Over the years he has recovered over $300 million in settlements for his clients, as well as over $1 billion in jury verdicts. Michael was recognized in the Lawyers Weekly Top 10 Jury Verdicts of 2001 for the $1.056 Billion Grefer v. Exxon, et al verdict, and was also an executive committee member for the class action in Patrick Joseph Turner, et al. v. Murphy Oil USA, Inc., which resulted in monetary compensation and a cleanup settlement exceeding $300 million. Before his work with Stag Liuzza, Mike served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ronald J. Sholes at the Civil District Court in New Orleans. Mike leads an ensemble of passionate attorneys and staffmembers who are driven to persistently advocate for their clients and remain steadfast in their pursuit of justice. Michael G. Stag was born in Japan. In 1985 he moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to attend Loyola University, where he obtained his Masters in Business Administration and his Juris Doctorate. Mike, his wife, and his three children live in the New Orleans Garden District. He enjoys white water rafting, skiing, camping, and coaching little league baseball.
